TAXIS & BUSES

A comprehensive menu of motorcoach systems, taxis and rental cars keep large masses of people on the move and on schedule during their stay in Tampa Bay. The area’s bus service is supported by over 200 buses, and over 500 vehicles are available for taxi service. The average taxi from Tampa International Airport to downtown is $20 - $22, and there is a minimum $10 fare. Tampa is a call destination, not a flag destination. Most hotels offer shuttle service to the airport and major attractions. Tampa’s fleet of taxi drivers go through training with the Convention & Visitors Bureau and are knowledgeable on the destination and eager to help your attendees discover Tampa Bay. For those whose transportation needs are not met by bus or taxi, more than 500 limousines are licensed to operate in the area.

All HARTline buses, vans and streetcars are wheelchair accessible. HARTplus paratransit service has 33 vans outfitted to serve anyone visiting the Tampa area that meets paratransit eligibility requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
